It was time for our official third workation in Marrakech! It took place in October and again, we were with an amazing group of female entrepreneurs. All ready to kick some asses – and work them off.
The goal of the workation is to work on your business, increase your focus, meet like minded woman who can and will become business buddies for life, learn a lot during the masterclasses and workshops, brainstorm a lot during the masterminds, get inspiration for a life time and much, much more.
Day one – get to know each other and the city
Since a lot of the girls have different flights, all the girls arrive at different times. We’ll show you the riad, let you freshen up and enjoy the lovely weather with the first of many moroccan mint teas. When all the girls arrive, we go to our first hotspot to get to know each other.
After we introduced ourselves to the group, I explain a lot about the itinerary, workshop programs, Marrakech and all it’s traditions and cultures. Time to explore the city a bit!
And this is called a WORKation for a reason. Next to exploring Marrakech in the best way possible, we’ll spend most of our time actually working on our businesses. Workshops, masterclasses, masterminds and more. And this is very serious as you can on the faces below 😉
Day two – cooking class & workshop by the confetti collective
Let’s start the day with a yoga class on the rooftop of our riad and a good breakfast. We’ll need all that energy for the rest of the day!
After the breakfast, we walk a bit through the city to see Marrakech in it’s morning glory. Time to head off to the cooking class. THE best way to get to know each other on a whole different level, which sets a perfect base for the rest of the week. When you know each other better, it’s easier to open up and trust the group.
You’ll get the full Marrakech experience. We provide you with a shopping list and money and you’re responsible to get your own ingredients. Of course, we help you and also we explain a lot (and taste even more) about street food, local recipes, spices etcetera.
And as you can see, we really shop where the locals shop!
Then we arrive in one of the most beautiful houses of Marrakech where we will cook. Time to put those aprons on and get our hands dirty.
And yes ladies, there is wine.
After the cooking class it’s time to walk back to the riad and prepare ourself for the first extensive workshop. This edition the workshops were hosted by The Confetti Collective.
Day three – yoga and mastermind allllll day
New day, new yoga class. The best way to start the day, get your energy flowing and relax between all the hard thinking.
Talking about hard thinking… time for the next mastermind. This one takes us more than 6 (!) hours, but adds so much value to your business and you as an entrepreneur.
As you may have seen in the photos above, we laugh A LOT. But, we also cry. The workation is intense, but this is the only way we get to the main points of your existence as an entrepreneur and why you’re doing what you’re doing. The group is always so close and amazing, that moments like these are not a exception. How extremely special is that?
Time for some food! Marrakech has so many amazing food hotspots and we’ll take your to all of our favorites.
After the lunch, we continue our mastermind and then it’s time for some time off. Some of the girls want to take a nap, some of them need to catch up on some work, some want to brainstorm more after the workshop input and some of them want to shop in the city. I go with them to show my favorite shops and help them haggle!
Time to go to my all time favorite dinner hotspot! All the girls freshen up, put on their dresses we’re ready to have some good conversations, fancy dinner and a nice glass of wine.
Day four – day off
Our fourth day is always the day off. You can do whatever you want during this day. Go for a day trip to the desert, answer your emails and do work for your clients, chill all day at the pool, brainstorm more with the input from the sessions. It’s up to you! This group became so close, that we wanted to have dinner with all of us.
Day five – our last full day
Wakey wakey! Time for our last full day in Marrakech, which we start again with a yoga class.
Time for our last walks in the city. We go to visit some of my hotspots to see more of Marrakech, make pictures and let the environment inspire us!
Every single one of these girls have a special place in my heart. It’s so amazing to see how close you become as a group when you’re 6 days stuck to each other and share the same passion for entrepreneurship.
And then it’s time for our last dinner together. Maybe at the most special place possible in Marrakech. Not a restaurant, but on the market. Street food! We walk to the famous big square: Djemaa el Fna where we sit down, dance, sing and eat the best street food.
After dinner at the square it’s time to drink cocktails and smoke shisha. The photgrapher didn’t take her camera with her, but we can say everyone was a bit tipsy, so maybe that’s for the best. We even went to the local karaoke bar ;). Then we went to bed and on the sixth and last day, everyone bought souvenirs, said goodbye and was ready to fly home. It was another amazing week and I’m so grateful I get to experience this time and time again. I can imagine you get excited as well, drop us an e-mail and come with us. We would love you have you!
